Anxiety disorders frequently overlap with traumatic experiences, yet traditional treatment often addresses symptoms without fully integrating an understanding of trauma’s pervasive effects. This presentation will explore the evaluation and treatment of anxiety from a trauma-informed perspective, introducing attendees to foundational principles, key interventions, and clinical considerations central to this approach.

- Participants will demonstrate knowledge of the neurobiological mechanisms by which trauma can contribute to the development and manifestation of anxiety
- Participants will be able to create an individualized treatment goals consistent with both trauma and anxiety diagnosis
